The Challenge:
Choose 5 things you think you don’t have time to do. Do each of the five things for 10 minutes a day–everyday–for 365 days. Document your progress! At the end of the year, you will have just over 60 hours of effort towards the mastery/achievement of the goal. Now while , admittedly, that is rather far from the 10,000 hours required for mastery (as per Malcolm Gladwell) that is a nice chunk of time spent on something you “didn’t have time for”.
My projects for 2013 are:
(1) Relearn the piano sonatinas of my childhood (after years of not playing piano regularly)
(2) Become conversational in Mandarin
(3) Advance a Creative Project (The Red Crane Project, 20 Bucks) (a/k/a kick the brain crack addiction)
(4) Advance a Business Idea (a/k/a kick the brain crack addiction)
(5) Find the Love of My Life – spend some time daily trying to find a great guy via any one of the many online avenues
